HP Envy 4 series having a 14 inch HD display with resolution of 1366x 768 pixel and LED Backlight . 1046TX & 1002TX also have 2GB dedicated AMD Radeon HD 7670M graphics card for better gaming experience. Also, the colours may feel softer and very comfortable if you aren’t using this for multimedia viewing, but the display does not feel good when you are watching a movie on it.
This ultrabook is compatible with the CoolSense feature, but since this is version 2.0 of the software, you can only switch it on or off. It is surprising, considering the older 1.0 version allowed you to choose between multiple settings for fan assisted cooling, and how the processor was clocked down.
The HP Envy 4 Ultra book has an integrated webcam with microphone that helps you stay connected. It offers Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity along with standard ethernet port but there is no optical drive ( as this thin chasis it is difficult to mount a optical drive) . It features an inbuilt Media card Reader, 2 USB 3.0 ports, 1 USB 2.0 port, HDMI out port ( there is no VGA port to connect secondary monitor, this may be annoying to some users to connect to a projecter), about 8 hrs of battery life, HP Cool Sense technology, Beats audio and runs on Genuine Windows 7 Home Basic OS. It has Beats Audio High Definition Audio Dual Speakers with Internal Sub-Woofer.
There is a good quality of aluminum finish of HP Envy 4 gives it a premium look. The illuminated logo idea that HP had dabbled with till recently, has now given way to the neat looking logo on one edge of the lid.
HP envy 4’s i5 processor with 4GB RAM gives it a very boost performance on every work and multi tasking. And if you are interested more in gaming than 2GB graphics card serve its best to give good gaming and 3D experience.
If you are thinking to buy a Ultrabook within a budget of Rs. 60000/- than you can go for HP Envy 4 ultrabook. There are many ultrabooks that looks like Envy 4 i.e. Acer Aspire S3 or Dell XPS 13. HP Envy 4 is a much more portable option, weighing only 1.8kg (3.86lbs) and dimensions 340 x 235 x 18mm (13.38 x 9.28 x 0.78 inches).
