Know about USB Type C connector

Nowadays Micro USB port and connector become universal for most of smartphones & Tablets that is also called USB Micro-B connector or USB Type-B connector. This cable used to charge your devices and for data transfer from PC to device or vice-versa and used universally now most of the phones and tablets. Now next generation USB Type C connector has come it will replace Micro-B connector in future. The USB Type C has been seen in high profile devices like Macbook, One Plus-2, and recently Google’s Nexus 5X and 6P. According to many tech gurus this will become universal connector in future devices.

1. Type –A connector- this is the oldest and most common USB connector that can be seen in all the desktop and laptops with rectangular type of shape. In this type of connector different version has come that are backward compatible e.g. USB Ver. 1.1, 2.0,3.0.

2. Type – B connector- The Type-B connector is the other end of a standard USB cable that plugs into peripheral device (such as a printer, a phone, or an external hard drive). It’s also known as Type B-male. On the peripheral device, the USB port is called Type B-female.

Advantages of USB Type C connector:

The most important feature of USB type C connector is that it can be used in both direction means upside or downside there is no difference like micro-B type cable where some devises used as upside and some used it as downside to connect. This cable can be used in both the direction means you can connect device or pc with this cable from either side reversible. This connector is compact and slim, USB Type C works on USB 3.1 that can transfer data upto 10 Gbps. USB type-C can aslo be connected with HDMI, VGA or any other ports using adapters.  USB type –C has 24pin and can supports upto 100 watt and it is bi-directional , it can send or receive power in bi-direction.
