Micromax Canvas 4 (A210) Review and price
After success of Canvas 2 and Canvas HD now Micromax come up with Micromax Canvas 4 smartphone with some enhanced hardware and features with respect to earlier Canvas HD.

3. IPS LCD 5″ touch display with 720×1280 pixel, 294 ppi pixel density with corning gorilla glass (Canvas HD has same display without corning gorilla glass)
4. 16 GB internal memory with 10GB user available , 1GB RAM ( Canvas HD has 4GB internal, 1.77GB user available)
5. Android 4.2.1 Jellybean on the board as compared to 4.1.2 in Canvas HD
6. Processor is the same as 1.2 GHz Quad core as like in Canvas HD cortex A7 with media tek MTK MT6589 chipset
7. Battery is the same as like Predecessor 2000 mAh
8. Dual Sim phone
9. GSM band 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 has improved from predecessor as 900 / 1800 – SIM 1 & SIM 2

Design of Micromax Canvas 4-
Canvas 4 also has same design as like Canvas HD but side edges has been provided with Aluminium finish that gives some premium look compared to Canvas HD but back panel is same plastic look. Grey colour model looks more premium as compared to white one.
Display is very clear and sharp, also touch is very responsive and fluid. When you remove back panel you will found two sim card slot, micro sd card slot and removable battery. The front of the Canvas 4 is the same as its predecessor – 5-inch display with the three capacitive buttons below it.
User Interface
The user interface of Canvas 4 is pure android 4.2 original based with some added Micromax applications. To start with you have access to M Security. The app helps you scan the Canvas 4 for viruses, has antitheft capabilities, gives you the ability to back up your contacts, monitor you SIM card (keeps you informed if someone switches the SIM card in the phone, triggers an intruder alert (giving you the ability to lock your smartphone without having access to it) and more.
You can add multiple widgets on lock screen the feature of Android 4.2. One samsung feature also has been ported to view video in pop up window so that you can do another stuff (messaging etc. while watching video ).
The phone also offers four themes, namely Mint, Mocha, Raspberry and the default theme that bring minor changes in the phone’s colour scheme.
The phone also offers another Android 4.2 feature, Daydream, that displays photo albums or the clock while the phone’s charging. The option to wirelessly mirror the phone’s display with an HDMI enabled device through a wireless display adapter is also present.
GPS fix also has been improved in Canvas 4 as compared to earlier version.
Camera of Canvas 4-
Camera is the main advantage if you considering to purchase Canvas 4 over Canvas HD. The photos taken from Canvas 4 are much more crisp and clear compared to Canvas HD. But Camera auto focus is little bit of slow. Its performance is clearly not close to what you would expect from a 13 megapixel camera. However it is a decent camera and offers decent clarity in images specially captured in daylight. Indoors the images get a bit grainy and also produces slightly washed out colours. In the low light condition the performance dips further. In terms of videos however the results are much better. It does capture HD resolution videos.
Other Features –
Micromax has also included some of its own apps including content stores, M! Live and Game Hub, and services store, M! Zone, in addition to a few ‘try and buy’ games (Fruit Devil, NFS Shift, The DarkMan).
The handset also offers FM Radio and FM radio recording. Micromax has also modified the Messages app, adding a Smileys input option next to the text entry prompt, and a button for attaching multimedia, contacts and audio clips, among others, with it. Micromax has also added a file manager app, a NoteBook app, a ToDo app, in addition to a universal search app and a Popup Browser that can be used for browsing the web in a floating window while working on another app. It has also replaced the stock camera app with a different one.
Final Words-
If you prefer a Better camera and big memory in respect of Canvas HD at the price of approx Rs. 5000/- more , than Canvas 4 can be a choice for you. Otherwise processor, RAM, Display and battery wise there is no such upgrade over Canvas HD. Also Micromax is offering Android 4.2 upgrade to their Canvas HD users so this is also not a big deal to get upgrade Android OS.
(Micromax only providing upgrade at service centres, no Over the Air (OTA) update available for canvas HD, users also reports some bugs in this update so wait for another bug free update for your Canvas HD).
