Samsung has launched its much awaited Phablet ( that for phone cum tablet), Galaxy note 2 is the biggest screen size smartphone available at now. With note 2 samsung again started stylus trend that was missed after launching of touch screen mobile & tablets. Samsung named the stylus as S-pen. And after release of note 2 samsung again has proved that why it is the most popular company in mobiles and smartphones, tablets in the world.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 – Key features

                            Samsung GALAXY Note 2 is very perfect viewing notepad and it is also wider, thinner and better gripping touchpad. GALAXY Note 2 is having 5.5” HD Super AMOLED screen with resolution of 1280×720 with better clarity and a 16:9 screen ratio for perfect view. For some people it may be difficult to work on a single hand over this phablet. But big screen have big advantages also you can use this phone as a mobile or as a tablet as per your need. Galaxy note 2 runs over 1.6 GHz quad-core processor cortex A-9 which is little higher then Galaxy S3’ 1.4 GHz and also its 2GB RAM higher then S3’s 1GB RAM. It is having latest android v4.1.1 (jelly bean) OS.

 The plus point of Galaxy Note 2 is its stylus that is S-pen. Using Air view you can quickly browse your pictures without having to open any folders. Air View saves you time, energy, and makes it easier to manage your contents. Just by hovering the S-pen over the display of the phone you can see everything from messages to pictures, scrolling through video without actually touching the display.

You can view directions, phone numbers, and other information conveniently while on a call with a double-click of the S Pen. Sending an email, calling or sending a text message to your friend, sharing the meeting location and so many other things have never been easier. You can also send handwritten notes via email.

Galaxy Note 2 having a huge 3100 mAh Li-ion battery with stand-by back up upto 980 h (2G) / Up to 890 h (3G) and talk time back up upto 35 h (2G) / Up to 16 h (3G). Overall battery life with endurance rating is 73 hours.  Its dimensions are 80.5 x 151.1 x 9.4 mm and weight is 180g with internal memory of 16 GB . Memory can be expanded upto 64GB using micro sd card. Card slot is also outside; you do not require opening the cover for changing micro sd card.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 – Connectivity –

Galaxy Note 2 having Quad-band GSM and quad-band 3G with 21 Mbps HSDPA and 5.76 Mbps HSUPA support, with also LTE support. Its connectivity through Bluetooth v 4.0 LE is very good. The Wi-Fi support covers a/b/g/n, with both 2.4GHz and 5GHz band compatibility. Wi-Fi Direct and DLNA are part of the package, of course.

The MHL port has yet another feature – it enables USB On-The-Go. You’ll need an adapter for that too (there isn’t one in the box) but this one is fairly straight forward – you plug it into the Galaxy Note and plug a standard USB cable on the other end.

Using MHL to HDMI adapter you can view your Note II display on HD TV.

USB keyboards and mice are also supported – a mouse cursor appears on the screen of the phablet and you can use it to do all sorts of stuff around the interface.

 GALAXY Note 2’s Main (Rear) 8 Megapixel Auto Focus Camera (3264×2448 pixels) with single LED Flash and front 1.9 Megapixel Camera. The picture quality of camera is also very good; its main camera can capture stills of up to 3264 x 2448 pixels and 1080p videos, while the one on the front takes 1.9MP pictures and 720p video.

The camera app offers a bounty of features including geo-tagging, touch focus, HDR mode, Panorama, burst shot (with Best photo), Share shot, face and smile detection with Best faces, low-light mode, digital image stabilization, scenes, effects and several more.

The Samsung N7100 Note 2 is equipped with an FM radio with RDS too. The interface is simple – there’s a tuning dial and you can save as many as 8 stations as favorites. You can also play on the loudspeaker, but the headset is still needed as it acts as the antenna. You can record radio broadcasts as well.

According to the present generation requirements it is available in two colours Titanium Gray, Marble White. It is the combination of image/video editor, Document editor (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF), Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Calendar, Google Talk, Picasa integration, Voice memo/dial/commands, Predictive text input (Swype). Note II also having  S Planner that is a skinned calendar (the only one you get on the Note II) that is equally easy to use with fingers and with the S Pen. The tabbed interface lets you easily toggle between year, moth, week, day list and task views.

Galaxy note 2 also support very huge range of video and audio codec just like MP4/DivX/XviD/WMV/H.264/H.263 & MP3/WAV/eAAC+/AC3/FLAC formats.
