Redmi Note 3 Design and Display –
Redmi Note -3 looks very attractive & premium it is a full Aluminum body phone with glass on the front, design looks that it is inspired from iPhone 6s Plus with rounded corners. Redmi Note 3 has fingerprint sensor at the backside below camera same as like LeEco Le 1s recently launched. The difference between Redmi Note 3 and LeEco 1s is that Note 3 has micro sd card slot that uses second sim slot, also second difference is that Redmi Note 3 has conventional micro USB port while LeEco has USB type c-port for charging and data transfer. Here LeEco has advantage of type c port as this is faster usb port for data transfer and charging. In LeEco you cannot increase the memory while note 3 you can expand the memory using sd card.
LeEco has 2.2 GHz Helio X10 Turbo MTK 6795T octa core processor while note 3 has hexa core processor, both the phones has 3GB RAM option for better multitasking. Redmi Nore3 come with two variant one is 16GB ROM and 2GB RAM and another one is 32GB ROM and 3GB of RAM with price tag of Rs. 9999 & Rs. 11999 respectively for 16 and 32GB models. It looks that 3GB RAM model is better for multitasking.
RedMi Note 3 has 5.5 inch display that has very narrow bezel; top side of the display there are earpiece, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, front facing camera (5MP), and a notification LED that’s only visible when it’s illuminated. On right side there are power button and volume rocker and left side hybrid dual sim tray where one sim slot is nano and other is micro sim slot, both the sim are dual standby. The second sim slot (micro sim) one can be used for sim or micro sd card. On top side there is 3.5mm headset jack and IR blaster with secondary mic. On bottom side there is micro usb port for charging and primary mic placed. Backside main camera (16MP) with dual LED flash placed and below this fingerprint sensor placed to unlock the phone.
The Redmi Note 3 has a 5.5-inch, 1920 x 1080 resolution display that is having sunlight display mode that makes it easily legible during direct sunlight.
Redmi Note 3 performance:
Redmi Note 3 has hexacore processor with 3GB ram and MIUI7 software that is based on Android Lollypop 5.1.1, this combination does a better job for fluid performance. There are no lags, everything works fine even in multitasking there are no hanging or lag issues. Phone supports 4G (LTE) on both the sims and also supports VoLTE (Voice over LTE).
Those are familiar with MIUI knows that MIUI is very customizable OS with many features that only seen in rooted devices e.g. call recording, permission management, MIUI Themes, ability to disable auto start for select apps, built-in blacklist for calls and messages, smart messaging app that automatically groups notification SMS together and highlights OTP codes, ability to use the fingerprint sensor to lock apps, and many more.
Those who are fond of Stock Android’s material theme may be disappointed as there is no change in MIUI base theme from a long time. Whatever the Android version kitkat or lollypop these are looks same in MIUI skin.
Redmi Note-3 camera & battery life:
The Redmi Note 3 has a 16 MP camera on the back with phase detection autofocus, f/ 2.0 aperture, two-tone dual LED flash and 1080p video. On the front is a 5 MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. Photos taken during daylight/sunlight and bright light are good but not the great, but photos taken in low light or in night are not so good and disappoint us. Videos also checked with full hd mode and quality of videos not so great.
The camera app is simple to use and has plenty of shooting modes. You swipe down or left for filters, and the other way for shooting modes, depending on whether you’re holding the phone in landscape or portrait. The Manual mode lets you play with white balance and ISO settings but there aren’t any options for aperture or shutter speed.
The last and best feature of RMN3 is its huge 4050mAh non-removable battery, so you need not charge your mobile frequently or not have worry to keep power bank with you always. During normal usage its battery lasts more than a day. Beside this huge battery RMN3 has battery saving mode to restrict the performance to increase more time from the battery. The best thing is that despite this huge battery it not weight too much on your hands.
Final Words:
From price and specifications it looks that Redmi Note 3 is at Price tag of Rs. 11999/- giving clear competition to recently launched LeEco le 1s. Both the phone has 32GB ROM & 3GB RAM and decent finger print sensor. While Redmi Note 3 supersedes with micro sd card slot, LeEco 1s superseded with its type c usb connector.
In front of performance both phone are almost equal performance and having same lollypop version no Android 6.0 in both of the phone, but as indicated by both the phones manufacturers that these are planned to be upgraded soon.
In front of camera both the phone have similar type of issues like lack of good quality photos in low light condition and not so great video recording quality. So if you are looking a very good performer and good looking phone even in low budget range than this phone is for you.
