How to configure Google Authenticator for Chrome
Google Authenticator app is very useful app for login on your Google accounts, and other accounts that supports two step verification using automated generated time stamp unique codes. Nowadays many websites and services having features to login with two layer of security like Google, Microsoft, first one is your passwords and second is OTP / Automated generated codes.
This two layer of protection double ensures security of your accounts, as in case someone get access to your passwords, even he can not login without OTP / automated generated codes from the apps like Google Authenticator. You can also configure Google Authenticator for Chrome using extensions. For this you need to add Google Authenticator for Chrome extension for Chrome Browser. Go to menu of Chrome using three dots, now click on more tools> Extensions. Search for Authenticator and add the extension. After adding this will showing in menu bar of Chrome at right side of address bar.
How to add Accounts in Google Authenticator for Chrome Extensions
You can add here your accounts using manual entry of keys provided by the service provider, or can also scan the QR code from Account Settings page to add accounts. There is also good feature of Authenticator app that you can click over the code, and is copied to the clipboard for easy paste on the desired field. For the security reasons add this extension only on your trusted PC / Home PC.
