How to Screen Share in Facebook Messenger
Facebook has now enabled screen share in Facebook Messenger. This feature is available in Android, iOS and Desktop Web version of Facebook messenger.
You can share screen on one to one video calls, group video calls and messenger rooms. Right now you can share your device screen with up to 8 members in group chat and with 16 members in messenger room.
In future Facebook may expand this feature to up to 50 numbers of persons in a messenger room.
Nowadays lot of companies are coming in the field of Video calls and online meetings to take share in the increasing demand of office meetings due to work from home in pandemic time.
Already Microsoft Teams , Zoom , Cisco Webex, Google Meet, Jio Meet are in the field of online meetings and also having screen share features.
How to Screen Share in Facebook Messenger on Android or iOS
- Tap over the video call icon to call a person
- When call get connected, swipe up the screen from bottom (where mic, camera, call icons places)
- Here you will see the screen share option
- Tap over ” Share Your Screen”
You will be warned about screen sharing that is a good thing so that you will not accidentally share your mobile screen.
On iPhone and iPad, you will also see the broadcast option, and it will warn you before starting broadcast by counting 3,2,1.
On Desktop version, while choose screen share you can select the open application to share. Your browser will asked you permission of microphone and camera before starting screen share with others.
