After huge success of Mi3 Xiaomi again going to create history by launching Redmi 1s at a killer price of Rs. 5999/-. Xiaomi understand what can be big sale in India by launching first Mi3 and now even lower end budget Redmi 1s smartphone.

If we see the price and specifications of this phone than there are no competitor seems to compete this phone at this time even our Indian brands don’t have such phone.

Xiaomi Redmi 1s – Hardware and Specifications –

Redme 1s has 4.7 inch IPS display with 312 ppi (resolution of 720 x 1280), powered by Qualcomm MSM8228 Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.6 GHz quad core with Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage with micro sd card slot (up to 64GB). Xiaomi Redmi 1s also has dual sim card slot but only one sim with 3G connectivity. Front camera of Redmi 1s is 8MP and secondary is 1.6MP. What else you want from a phone price of Rs. 6000/ -. If we see performance and hardware specifications no any phone is available at this price tag to compete with Xiaomi Redmi 1s. let see how much response it gain in Indian users but if we see Mi3 history there is no doubt it will make the history again with bigger success.

XIaomi Redmi 1S OS and Launcher-

MIUI OS is same as described in earlier post with beautiful skin, MIUI launcher , tons of themes and features. MIUI music app has also very feature full, also it has call recording functionality inbuilt.

The default MIUI launcher is very fast and efficient once you used to it will not annoying too much.

In MIUI rooting your phone and flashing ROMs will not void warranty of your phone.

Phone has some great security features like firewall (you can select app that can use data access), permission management – which app can access which functionality of your phone your can control like you can disable to access you location, contacts etc. for the app you not trust. For new users this thing can be nightmare as many apps that works fine is android may trouble or not worked well without trust this app check in app permission and auto start at boot. So if you face problem with your downloaded app from play store select the app inside permission management and check I trust this app (e.g. whatsapp, handcent sms, Alarm apps etc.).
