1. How to send high resolution images in Whatsapp

You may have noticed that after sharing images on whatsapp, their quality has degraded. This is the whatsapp inherit technology that it reduced the image resolution to save data and faster uploading of image. If you want to send image in original resolution and quality there is trick for it.

To send high resolution images in original quality send them just like documents. Go to attachment icon in whatsapp chat, select documents now browse your desired images using file explorer. The drawback of this feature is that you can not see the preview of image during uploading through the file browser. Further receiver not able to see thumbnail of image. But this tricks works well and images sent in original quality to recipient. Before sharing check the path of your images and their file number so that easily find them inside file browser. Generally default location for camera roll is DCIM>Camera.

2. How to use Whatsapp as personal notes store

One hidden feature of Whatsapp is also that you can use this as personal notes store. Whatever you want to see for later e.g. some shopping list, photograph of important documents, reminder etc. can be seen in one place. To use this trick you have to create a group of at least two persons, you and any other one. Now remove that other person. Current location means that you want to send somebody your current address for more clarity, e.g. some guest that is coming first time to your home. While real time location means it will updated as you move from one place to another e.g. in journey or car driving. The use of this feature is that you can trace location of another person for safety reasons or to guide him better to reach at you.

To share your real time location, go to whatsapp chat box, tap over clip icon of attachment, now select location. Here you will find option to share your current location and live location. In live location three options are available, share for 15 minutes, 1 Hour or 8 Hour.

5. How to hide last seen information

Many persons don’t want that anybody will see their last online status. This can be turned off using Privacy Settings under Account Settings. You can change last seen option to nobody to disable your last seen status.

6. How to add more than 256 members in a group

When group members capacity reached to 256 members, you can not add further any members. But there is trick for this, you can also add members to a group using invite link. I have been added in a group with a invite link where already 256 members exists and I was 257th member. So this can be possible to add more than 256 members using invite link. This feature is not tested for how many members it is supported after exceeding 256.

The chats or groups you are using frequently, you can put them on top of all chats using pin feature of Whatsapp. Just long press the chat and tap over pin icon. Now selected chat will remain always on top.

Whatsapp can be accessed using desktop browsers using web link of whatsapp that can be opened through this link – https://web.whatsapp.com/
After opening the web page of whatsapp, open your whatsapp app in mobile, tap over three dots at top right side, now tap over Whatsapp Web icon and scan the QR code showing on this page. Now your complete chats are available on this page. You can send and check whatsapp messages without using your mobile through this web page.

10. How to tag someone in a group chat

When you press @ inside a group chat message box for typing new message, it will show all group members name. Now select some body you want to tag in a group message, this way you can tag somebody in the message to make him understand that this message is for him.
