1. How to take a screenshot on Android by combination of power and volume keys
Most of all Android phones support this feature. You can take screenshot by pressing Power key + Vol Down key simultaneously. We have tested this on OnePlus and Huawei phones and working perfect.
The screenshot images saved automatically in the folder Picture/Screenshot. These screenshots also appear in the gallery and Google Photos app. Some times this method is annoying as due to difference in pressing both keys. When you press power button and if volume down key not pressed at same time, than your phone may be goes into sleep mode.
2. Taking Screenshot by the status bar icons
Many Android mobile are now having screenshot icon (scissor icon) in the status bar. Just scroll down from top of the screen to open status bar, again scroll down once to open status bar icons. Here you will find the scissor icon, touch on this and your current screen will be captured and saved to gallery in screenshot folder. This feature has been tested on Huawei mate 20 pro and working fine.
3. Taking the screenshot by power menu shortcut
In Android Pie 9.0 or higher in stock version of android you can also take screenshot by power menu. To open power menu long press power button for some seconds, now power menu will pop up. On this menu, touch on screenshot icon to take screenshot. This feature tested on OnePlus 5T phone with Android 9.0 and works fine.
4. Taking Screen shot by Manufacturer specific Gestures
Some mobile manufacturer provides special gesture feature to take screen shot. For example in Samsung device you can enable palm swipe gesture in settings to take screen shot.
Under OnePlus, Xiaomi and Motorola devices you can take screenshot by three finger scroll down on the screen.
In Huawei devices you can take screenshot by double knock on screen by your knuckle.
6. How to take a screenshot in Android by Google Assistant
Google assistant is also capable to take screenshot for you. Open Google Assistant by saying ok google, or pressing google assistant button (long pressing on home button) . In the Google assistant screen, when mic is on, say ” take a screenshot”, screenshot will be captured automatically by google assistant and saved.
7. Take screenshot by using third party apps
You can download many third-party apps from play store to take screenshot. Some of the famous apps are Screenshot Easy, Super screenshot and AZ screen recorder.
Using these apps you can take screenshot from the screen overlay icons (floating icon) over the screen. After capturing the screenshot, editing and sharing options will show up. You can edit the picture and thereafter share it on various platform like WhatsApp, Facebook, email, google drive etc.
